Filter/Find for PLOG list

We are replicating from 5 ADABAS DBs in production and the PLOG list show the PLOG entries from the last 3 years in the list, sometime up to 6-8 entries per day.

That means that to find recent entries we need to scroll down thousand of entries to find recent entries that we are looking for. Our system also only stores the last 30 days of PLOGs so most of the entries in the PLOG list are of no use to us.

It would beneficial for us to be able to filter the entries in the PLOG list based on dates or dataset names or to find entries in the list.

Both have now been released as part of the ARF381I004 and ARF411I002 Natural updates (IUPDs).

They will also be contained in the next full release of ARF.

This idea is in the final stage of implementation. It will look like the following:

The map now displays an additional column for DBID information, and PF5 may set up a ‘filter’, and PF6 clears that filter.

From the help screen, it documents how it works. A snippet from the help:

PF5 maybe used to filter the display by DBid, Date or Dataset Name. PF6 will clear the filter.

DBid is exact, Date or Dataset Name may be partial from the beginning of it.
