REV482 HUB Gives message REV20186: Message has no detail.

Environment: REV482, NAT826, ADA834, COM681

Problem: REV482 HUB Gives message REV20186: Message has no detail.

We have rev running on two DBID 50 and 53. We built a REV HUB and started it.

We then logged on to SYSREVDB on DBID 53 and set it to point at the HUBID (35).

We issued a modify command to DBID 50 f/ AD05001,review=035.

Both DBIDs then were pointed at the HUB DBID 35.

I then started a commands by hour and buffer pool report on DBID 53.

The messages below started and continued until I shut down the hub.

Unfortuneatly I purged the output because the 12M lines of output (in 4 hours) were filling spool.

I searched on empower and found several reasons for the

00000090 REV20186 - ADAIOR PUT request failed.

My problem is the message REV20186 does not have enough detail to point

me at what could be wrong.

This request is to enhance messge REV20186 to let the user know

what information is being written and where.

(I will open another problem to deal with the error causing the message).

Surly ADAIOR returns some information to the caller (REV)

that can be passed on to the user in the message. (DD name etc.)

From empower search REV20186.

Adabas Review - REV20186 - ADAIOR PUT REQUEST FAILED

KB #:1770261Operating System Family:MF

Product:Adabas Review (REV)Operating System:z/OS

Version:4.7.3

Last Updated:29-JUN-2016

Description:

Getting REV20186 - ADAIOR PUT REQUEST FAILED intermittently and continuously on database where Review is installed.

This database was recycled to start using Review Autostarted reports instead of starting them with a batch job. The next day, it was determined that one of the wrong reports was started.

So that report was Purged and the correct one started. The error started happening after that.

Resolution:

The purge only deletes the report data, not the report definition.

Instead of the purge, refresh the report as this deletes the report data and restarts the updated report.
