When installing Adabas you do not require sudo permissions of the sag admin user to run "afterInstallAsRoot.sh". You can simple logon as root and run the script. This somtimes is the only way, because you don't get the root permission from the customer on every environment. So the customer can run the script on themselves by simply using the root user.
With the Adabas Manager it is different. After the installation of the Adabas Manager the script "afterInstallAsRoot.sh" must not (!) be run with the root user, but sudo permissions of the sag admin user is required to run this script. If this script is directly run with the root user, the directories "logs" and "tmp" in $AMN_HOME belong to root and are unaccessible to the sag user.
Maybe there can be established the same procedure of running "afterInstallAsRoot.sh" for all Adabas products.
