The use of Admin Web Services requires the user-id and password of an ApplinX administrator.
To make use of Admin Web Services from within the ApplinX application - the user-id and password needs to be hard-coded (visible to developers) and may need amending during deployment to other ApplinX instances.
I suggest to make the functions of the Admin Web Services available to path and flow procedures of the application - without the need for credentials. This could be controlled with a parameter of the ApplinX instance or application.
Use Case | Need to report which mainframe user was used for a particular web service request. |
