To succeed with Jopaz at our existing Natural customers, who use Cobol in parallel, we need the possibility to call Java from Natural. The reason is that Jopaz-compiled Cobol applications run as Java applications. Natural is used to call Cobol, our customers do that a lot, and therefore it also needs to be able to call Java, if an existing Cobol application is compiled with Jopaz.
Before developing this functionality, it would be helpful to check if it is then still zIIP eligible and will not cause too many switches.
