allow multiple LDAP hosts in LDAP connection

Many tools with LDAP connection strings allow multiple hosts, such as ldapsearch's -H parameter. Can this be implemented in place of or in addition to the active/alternate/archive profile scheme NSC uses? For most customers (including most AD LDAP customers), a simple list of alternative hosts to use is all that is needed.

The alternative profile approach is helpful when many parameters need to be different between LDAP hosts to reach, but for most, the alternative hosts are replicas, using the same configurations each time. Allowing multiple hosts to be specified would simplify maintenance of the profiles.
