Support for MAPs in Natural for Visual Studio Code

In order to enable a complete development workflow within Natural for Visual Studio Code, it is essential that all relevant Natural object types can be edited, built, and tested directly within the IDE.

Currently, important UI-related artifacts such as Natural MAPs and NJX Pages are not supported. This leads to a fragmented development process requiring parallel use of other tools (NaturalONE), which reduces efficiency and limits adoption of VS Code as a primary IDE. This enhancement proposal addresses the implementation of Natural MAPs in Natural for VS Code.

  • Provide the ability to:

    • Create and edit MAP objects within VS Code

    • Upload/deploy MAPs to the Natural server

    • Execute and test MAPs directly from the IDE

    These are 2 different requests, MAP editor is under development, NJX is in the backlog.
    Please create new Idea for NJX only, we will follow on this Idea for Natural MAP Editor.
